Hey y'all! Happy Tuesday! I hope wherever you are, that you are warm and toasty and not out in this weather! It's Tuesday and that means another challenge with the Nachos. It's a color challenge this week and even though it's freezing here and these colors remind me of the beach, I went to the jungle. :) I got out my little zoo animals to make a cute little baby card-

I used the all new Alphabet E.F. and my Coastal Cabana Core'dinations paper and finally inked up this cute stamp set. I don't know about you but I absolutely L.O.V.E. the effect you get with this paper! I used my sanding system to really make the letters "pop". For my sweet little elephant, I did something I rarely do. I did a little paper piecing. I stamped that little cutie in Bermuda Bay and then stamped just her ear in Crisp Cantaloupe, cut it out and attached it with a piece of dimensional. Also because she's so cute, I added a little rhinestone for her eye. I colored the little toucan with my Stampin' Write Markers and used my Stamp-A-Ma-Jig to make sure it was positioned just right.

Here's a look at this week's colors-

Here's what I have for the inside-

I colored the stamp using the 3 colors and then added another sweet little bird on the inside. It's been a while since Tink came out and played, so I thought this would be a good time to make an appearance-

It's so hard to get the dazzle to show up in the photographs. :(  I assure you though that it is super cute and sparkly in person!

Well, that's all I have for you today. I hope you liked it and I hope you play along with us this week! What are you going to make with this week's combo? I can't wait to see your fabulous creations! As always if you have any questions, feel free to leave a comment below and I'll be sure to get back to you.

Thanks so much for taking time out of your busy day to stop by my little corner of the world. You are very appreciated! Till Next Time-

Just Because / NAC #73

Hey y'all. Happy Tuesday! I hope you are warm and dry, wherever you are. We are preparing for a huge storm here in the DMV, 6-8 inches here in my neck of the woods. :( Well, that's the bad news. The good news is, it's Tuesday and that means it's time for another challenge with the Nacho's. Here's my card-

I'm loving how this card turned out! I have to admit it, at first I wasn't too sure what I was going to do with this week's sketch. If you have followed me for very long you know it's still hard for me to deviate from sketches, even though they are meant to be an inspiration or starting point. So trying to picture this week's sketch in my head was a little hard. Then I remembered this technique. It's my first time doing it, but it won't be the last. I wish it showed up just a little brighter in the picture. I'm almost all packed up for my move in 2 weeks and my photo box has long been broken down. Sorry about that.  Here's this week's sketch-

Although there's not truly 2 rows in my card, I kind of think the little flaps make up rows and there are two of them. :)  *Happy dance*  This card is so pretty in person, soft and feminine, even fairly C&S if you look at the overall design and "white space" So not my normal style, but it works.

Here's the inside-

There wasn't really a way for me to add an element from the front to the inside for my little bit of pretty. :(  So I added one of the stamps from the Hello Lovely Set, which is where I got the inside sentiment. I colored it with my Stampin' Write Markers in two of the main colors and my card was finished.

Well, that's all I have for you today. What do you think of today's card? I hope you liked it and I hope it inspires you to try something new in your creative time this week. Of course, I also hope it inspires you to play along with us this week. As always, if you have any questions, feel free to leave me a message below.

Thanks so much for stopping by my little corner of the world. You are very appreciated! Till Next Time-

It Doesn't Have To Be Perfect ? NAC #72

Hey y'all. Happy Tuesday! I hope you're having a Great week so far and I'm so happy you have stopped by to check out my latest card. Of course, since it's Tuesday that means it's time for a new Nacho Challenge. I hope you take the time to look around and to check out the other great cards as well. This week's challenge is a color challenge and here's my card-

Have you seen our New Occasions Catalog yet? Sooooo many fabulous products! I just about want it all.  This is another all new card. It uses the sweet little Bermuda Bay ribbon, our new Banner Framelets and the coordinating stamp set. And see those cute little embossed dots everywhere? They're from our upcoming Sale-A-Bration that starts at the end of this month. Also super fabulous product and I can't wait for you to see it all! And the best part of Sale-A-Bration is it's all new, exclusive products and they're all FREE!!!

Here's this week's colors-

I don't know about you but I'm new to this Crushed Curry. I had a few years where I didn't stamp (Horror of Horrors I know!!!) and this was out during that time. It's a little deeper than Daffodil Delight and a little brighter than Summer Starfruit and it screamed sunshine to me. Then I just had to find a sentiment that seemed to go with a sunny theme and I love this new one. It's part of the set that goes with our new Banner Framelets and since I was using the sentiment, why not go ahead and use the framelets as well. They make perfect banners every time. No more wondering if the cut is centered or not. For you OCD'ers out there like me, this is going to make banners so much easier and more fun to work with! I punched a hole out of scrap c/s, and used a dauber to create my sun. I then used the edge of the scrap piece to sponge in the rays. Too easy.

Here's a closer look-

I know it's hard to tell but I added a little additional depth to my  embossed background by lightly sponging over it with more Bermuda Bay and a little Craft White. I wrapped the ribbon twice and just tied it in a knot.

Here's the inside-

I  didn't add a sentiment, which is something I almost always do. Sometimes you just need a note card and need to write your own message. I couldn't leave it plain though so I added a little sun to mirror the one on the front. Not sure I'm a hundred percent loving the inside but it wouldn't be me, if I didn't tell it like it is.

Well, That's all I have for you today. I hope you liked today's card and this peek at some of our new products. Mostly though, I hope it has inspired you to come and play along with us. I can't wait to see what you create!

Thanks so much for taking time out of your busy day to stop by my little corner of the world. You are very appreciated. Till Next Time-

Playing with All New Olds / NAC #71

Hey y'all. Happy Tuesday! I love Tuesday's because it means it's time for another Nacho Challenge. Yea!  I'm glad that something's making me happy because this weather sure isn't!!! I sure hope you are staying warm wherever you might be. We are looking at record lows here in the DMV. You know, I'm of a mind that if it's below 72, it's too cold. Below 0 with the windchill by 8pm is crazy! A predicted 4 with 20-30 below is just Out of Control!

Wanna know what else is out of control? That was me when I was making today's card. To be absolutely honest with you, I was really struggling with this week's sketch. It was another week of where do you get your inspiration and how does it progress.

I started by thinking about a paper doily. I've got a whole pack that hasn't been used. But when I started trying to find a DSP the white doily wasn't working. Then I decided that maybe my new doily sizzix might work and I could use Very Vanilla c/s. Then the sentiment I wanted didn't seem right. Do you ever have days like that, or is it just me? Well, things started coming together and I realized that everything I was picking was NEW. Ok, not everything is New as in the newest catalog, but it was the first time I had used all the elements. I don't know about you, but I tend to hoard my DSP. I almost never use it for a whole background. That will take up almost a ¼ sheet of DSP. What if I need it? But at that point I was determined and I literally did the happy dance when I was done! Even though I started out with the V.V. doily, it seemed like it needed something else. So I sponged it with Pistachio Pudding, then I decided to add the Island Indigo (for those of you that don't know, it's my All-Time Favorite color) and it just made me happy. I sponged the edges of the doily as well as the DSP with I.I. to make it stand out a little. It's all so tone on tone and I love the subtle texture the doily gives. I used my Two-Way Glue pen to adhere it to the DSP. The Ruffled Stretch ribbon is adhered with a piece of Sticky Strip and I lifted the edge just a little to slide my sentiment under. I added a little Tombow under the back end to make sure it stayed put.

My card uses this sketch-

You know I had to come up with something pretty for the inside, so here it is-

I used the other half of my doily to sponge the inside of my card and I was so happy with how that turned out I had to do a matching envelope.

This card is Sooo not me! And yet, I absolutely love it &  I really did do the happy dance when it was completed. My furbies looked at me like "Oh No! She's being weird again." It's so hard to believe this started with a white paper doily. :)

That's all I have for you today. I hope it inspires you to come play with us and I really hope it makes you want to step outside of your comfort zone and see what happens. I can't wait to see what you come up with! As always if you have questions, or just want to leave me a little blog love, be sure to leave a comment below. Your comments make my day!
