Anytime Love / NAC #95

Hey y'all. Happy Tuesday! I hope you're having a great week so far and enjoying some fabulous summer weather.  The Nacho's have a sketch challenge for you this week. I don't know about you, but sometimes I start with one idea and then end up with something totally different. I had a different stamp set, different paper, different colors, everything when I started this card and hard to believe this is what I came up with.  I'm pretty happy with the end result though. Hope you like it too-

Every once in a while you just need to have a little Love-Note on hand. They're not just for Valentines day. I used the "Love" stamp out of the Everyday Occasions card kit.

Here's the week's sketch-

I have to admit the two little flags threw me off a little. So I stacked them and put them under my shaped piece.  Not quite the same, but close. What will you create with this week's sketch? I can't wait to see your fabulous creations!

Thanks so much for taking time out of your busy day to stop by my little corner of the world. You are very appreciated. Till Next Time-

True North / NAC #94

Hey y'all. Happy Tuesday. I hope you're hang a great week. We're in a hear wave here with temps in the 90's. The Nacho's have a color challenge for you this week.  I've had this card in mind for a few weeks now and this challenge seemed just right for it.

My sweetie's in Cali and literally right across from the marina. If I didn't love him so much... Any-whoo, we both love the water and are working on our sailing certificates. He is my rock, he centers me, he is my True North. When I saw this set, I knew it would be one of those that I would be keeping even after the occasions catalog was finished. Hope you like it-

Ok, so I'm a loser face and apparently didn't download the color challenge. I'll have to come back and edit this. I thought the PDF I had recently downloaded had all my challenges and it did, but just so I could see them, not use them. SMH! It's been a long few weeks.

The colors are Island Indigo, Pool Party and Pistachio Pudding. It's hard to tell but the top panel has all three colors sponges onto a piece of whisper white /s and the edges sponged in Island Indigo. I thought my sweetie might like the nautical aspect of it and the sentiment was just perfect.

Here's a closer look-

That's all I have for you today, at least until I come back and edit the color's in. :( I hope you like it and I hope it inspires you to play along with us. I can't wait to see what you create! As always, if you have any questions about today's card, remember to leave me a comment below. I'll be glad to get back to you. :)

Thanks so much for taking time out of your busy day to stop by my little corner of the world. You are very appreciated. Till Next Time-

You've Got Us / NAC #93

Hey y'all. Happy Tuesday. I hope you're having a good week so far. The Nacho's have a Sketch challenge for you this week. I can't wait to see what you create!

I have a co-worker that's having surgery this week to rule out Lung Cancer. She's already had a biopsy and they need to do a bigger section. She's an Army Lt. Col. and doesn't strike me as girly-girly and certainly not frou-frou, but I wanted something that was really bright and cheery. Here's what I came up with-

I know, I know, this paper is retired, but I haven't had the time or the money to order the new, and this is so cheery and perfect for this card! Not only that, but I had plenty left, so why not use it? :) The layer beneath the white c/s is also DSP, it's the gingham check.

Here's a close up of the flower. This is definitely not a mailable card unless you were going to put it in a box. This is definitely not going in an envelope. there are 7 punched flowers, 4 Daffodil Delight and 3 Whisper White, all with Daffodil Delight sponged on the edges. I used a brad to hold them together and then topped it with a rhinestone I colored with my blendabilities.

Here's the sketch we have this week-

Because there are a lot of people at work that will want to sign this I put W.W. c/s on both sides.

Here's a look at the individual sides-

Well, that's all I have for you today. I hope you liked today's card and I hope you decide to play along with us. I can't wait to see what you come up with! As always, if you have any questions about today's card, be sure to leave me a comment below and I'll be sure to get back to you.

Thanks so much for taking time out of your busy day to stop by my little corner of the world. You are dry appreciated! Till Next Time-

Colorful Postcard / NAC # 92

Hey y'all. Happy Tuesday. I hope you're having a great week so far! Did you see what came out yesterday? Our New 2014-2015 Catalog!!! It's wonderful! Make sure you check back soon for some  projects featuring new items. Today the Nachos have a color challenge for you. I don't mind telling you I had no idea what I was going to do with these colors. So I went to my stamp racks and looked and this is what I came up with. Hope you like it-

I used Baked Brown Sugar for my neutral and then used my Stampin Write Markers to layer the colors directly onto the stamps. I even used the marker direct to the "Postcard" stamp. Because it has so much open area, it's very easy for the ink to get on the flat portion of the stamp, and for you to get un-intentioned ink spots. That's one reason I love my markers so much.

I had actually not intended on adding the stamps down the side, but stamped my main image a little farther to the left than I had intended. It probably wouldn't have bothered anyone but me, but... At any rate, I'm really happy with how it turned out. :) Love when that happens. How about you?

Here's this week's color combo-

It's such a rich, combination. I can't wait to see what you come up with! That's all I have for you today. As always, if you have questions about today's card, don't forget to leave me a comment. I'll be sure to get back to you.

Thanks so much for taking time out of your day to stop by my little corner of the world. You are very appreciated. Till Next Time-
